After a very informative 1-1 at Apple to learn more about Keynote Presentations for Thursday night Clubs, I had an even better adventure! Drove down York Road to Graue Mill and Fullersburg. Having lived in Clarendon Hills for years, that area brings tons of memories — it was SO, SO cool to do my daily walking there — took me back 55 years, more and less, and I even discovered an old cemetery that was obviously not the focus of a teen ager in 1959!
Weather in Chicago has been PERFECT for the last week or more and I love to say, “New England has nothing on us!!” Sadly, I forgot to charge the battery in the camera so the most showy trees couldn’t be photographed, but I love the ones I did get. So neat to see families enjoying the day, especially a number of fathers with their children. There is a cool visitor center in place of the boat rental where we used to get canoes! All in all, it has been a really special day! Hope you have had similar great adventures on this holiday!
Beautiful, Kay! We’ve been doing much the same thing, trying to get out in this gorgeous weather as much as possible. I’ve been marveling at God’s creative genius, that the changing angle of the sun’s rays so perfectly catch the undersides of the colored leaves, seeming to set the trees on fire at day’s end!

Loved the reminders of my childhood and am looking forward to my cornmeal. It’s only 96 here today.

P.S. I have no idea where that cemetery is.

That looks like a beautiful walk. I’ve never been there. Will have to go!
